As of 2016, there is no clarion software trial version either. This is not possible to create a simple “ Hello Word” program in clarion software without purchasing a license. A free clarion community edition was announced by a clarion international software developer in 2019 but is not yet available. Clarion’s documentation varies in quality with a mix of “Enterprise Level” and “NET” capabilities. Clarion software is helpful for everyone. Although specific documentation for a product is clearly labeled, documentation lags behind the product are not fully reviewed with each release.
This is a great opportunity for members of the clarion software community to get fellow developers using other tools to try out clarion. Every clarion developer can get a new developer. A Clarion developer using an older version of clarion software can see the miss. This is a major release with over 150 fixes, changes, and features. This release includes useful features such as exporting from top scan to JSON. C11 is the biggest update to the clarion codebase since the switch to window new internal classes that have been the basis of clarion’s evolution for years. Clarion’s 10 Software Updates:
- The active image class supports image control template actions. This release has an early start on template support for using the new active image class. These work like button control.
- Completing these prompts causes the image control to post what was accepted to the original control when the image is clicked. The templates use the active image class to provide functionality.
- Added a new collection of themes, now each theme has more than 2100 images ready to use in multiple sizes.
- Some are related to changes required to support win10. Many new features have been added to both RTL/Drivers and IDE.
