The word hydroponics is a method to grow plants in a different manner that is without soil, they usually grow the plants in the water which is the mixture of many nutrient contents. Only the type of terrestrial plants is grown with their roots which are exposed in the mixture of a nutrient liquid. Mostly the terrestrial plants grow in or on the land sometimes the plants which are exposed in the liquid content they have physical support of an inert medium like gravel, perlite, and some other content. The perlite is an amorphous substance of volcanic glass, with a high content of water and it is also formed by obsidian hydration. In this article, you can know about the hydroponics by Herbal House
Plants of hydroponics
The common plants which are usually growing, with the use of hydroponics method, are tomatoes, pepper plant, lettuces, marijuana, cucumbers, Arabidopsis thaliana- a native plant of Africa and as well as Eurasia, which is a small flowering plant. These are the common plants that grow due to the method of hydroponics.
Types of Hydroponics
There are two types of hydroponics is prevailed they are
Sub-irrigation
Top irrigation
Sub-irrigation usually used for many years in the areas of water tables. The sub-irrigation is the method which is used in the process of the artificial raising water table. It is also used for the production of the greenhouse production of potted plants. In the process of sub-irrigation, the water has pumped into the plants for nearly ten to twenty minutes then the water is absorbed by the pump for the re-use. This procedure repeats again and again. This is called the sub-irrigation. There is also a passive sub-irrigation which is also known as semi hydroponics or hydroculture it is a method in which the plant used to grow in an inert porous medium that transports fertilizer and water in the medium.
Irrigation
Irrigation is a method in which the amount of water is provided to the plants for time intervals. This system gives a cooling livestock environment, suppression of dust, sewage disposal and also mining this is irrigation.
Aeroponics
Aeroponics is also related to hydroponics, in which the system of growing plants with the help of water. In this aeroponics, the water is filled in the pot of a plant in drop by drop condition.
Solutions
There are some of the solutions that is used for a hydroponics solution they are
Inorganic solution
Organic solution
Some of the inorganic solutions are Nitrogen, Potassium, Phosphorous, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur Iron, Zinc, Copper, Manganese, Boron, Molybdenum, Nickel, Chlorine, Lithium, Vanadium, Sodium, Cobalt, Titanium, Silicon, Aluminium are some of the inorganic solvents solution which consists of an variable and essential micronutrient.
Some of the organic material includes bone ashes, bone meal, horn meal, fish meal, wood ashes, cottonseed, grasshopper, leather, poultry manure, bat guano, cow manure, horse guano, bird guano, leather waste, fish meal, goat manure, etc…
Tools
There are some of the tools used to measure hydroponics they are electrical conductivity meters, pH meter for the concentration to measure the hydrogen ions, litmus paper for changing the color of a reaction, graduated cylinders.
These are the information based on the hydroponics.
