Re-discovering Olivia

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this community, and have only just recently begun listening to Olivia's music again, although in reality I don't think I've ever listened to her properly before.

Like most people I was aware of Olivia in Grease ( and as a youngster at the time, let us just say that she awoke somthing within me ) and then later for the few big hits she had in the UK- most notably "Physical"

Anyhow, those incidences aside, Olivia never really cropped up on my musical radar, although I had a couple of her albums hidden in the deep and murkey depths of my collection. Yet, recently, for some reason, I dug out the "Magic" collection, liked what I heard, and then listened more intently, beginning with her earlier folk / country material. Lets me just say that I've been knocked out by her voice, by her interpretation of the songs, and by the beauty and humanity Olivia brings to her material. Its a bit like falling in love. Some of Olivia's later material has also been a revelation, particularly "Back with a heart", which I find deply moving in places, and her acoustic version of "Physical" gives me goose bumps!

Thank you Olivia, you are a beautiful and talented human person.
